STANDARDS ENGINEER ¡V DIRECT HIRE Duration : Long Term Location: Abu Dhabi Closing Date: 21.06.2009 Salary : Negotiable Principal Accountabilities : „« Manage the Company Corporate Engineering Specifications to reflect the needs of the Company to those required by the International Codes. „« Manage the updating of Engineering Procedures to reflect the needs of the Engineering Department work instructions and activities related to quality control. „« Standardization of technical documentation with respect to Engineering Procedures. „« Main documents as noted below and others as required by the Engineering Department, with respect to checking the document format/structure, revision and standards o Scope of work/services for studies and projects. o Material requisitions as part of the Commercial Department¡¦s purchase requisitions for new equipment o Engineering packages, including specifications, datasheets, drawings etc. o Vendor documentation.

Profile Minimum Requirements : - BSc or equivalent in Engineering from a recognized Technical University. - Not less than 10 years experience in the oil & gas industry, and at least 5 years in a related quality assurance team. - Good knowledge of International Standards and Codes, particularly Quality management System to ISO 9000 series. - Technical author in Quality related documentation. - Certified Lead Assessor - Fluent in both written and spoken English. - Computer Literate with experience using Microsoft Office, Visio and SmartPlant Foundation Engineering Document Management System (EDMS).
